• The user won't be able to see who's viewed his statuses if he turned off Read Receipts in WhatsApp Settings. For example, if you will turn off Read Receipts, then you publish a Status and 4 contacts will view it, you won't be able to know who's viewed it.

• If the user turned off Read Receipts in WhatsApp Settings, when he will view a Status, the other user that published that Status, also if he has Read Receipts enabled, won't be able to know if users that turned off Read Receipts has viewed his Status. For example, if you publish a Status and Michael will view it but Michael has Read Receipts disabled, you won't be able to know if Michael has viewed your Status.
I remember you that it is possible to choose who can view your Statuses, managing your privacy Settings (all contacts, all contacts except, only these contacts).

• Status will use auto-download settings! This feature hasn't been added in WhatsApp yet, but @WABetaInfo can already tellyou that.
There are twopossibilities about how it will work:
1) There will be Status auto-download settings for every contact, and the user will be able to choose which Statuses WhatsApp has to automatically download (it is the most likely option). For example "Automatically Download all Statuses published by Shana".
2) Statuswill use actual auto-download settings. For example, if you decided to downloadonly images, WhatsApp will automatically download Statuses that contain images only.

NOTE: PSAStatus by WhatsApp Inc. will be always automatically downloaded!
